The Journal of Information and Technology Ethics (JITE) is an international, peer-reviewed, Gold Open Access scholarly journal published by ScholarVista Private Limited, India.

JITE provides an interdisciplinary platform for research examining the ethical, social, legal, professional, and policy implications of information and technology. The journal addresses established and emerging issues arising from the development, implementation, governance, and use of digital technologies in individuals, organizations, research, education, industry, government, and society.

The journal welcomes contributions from researchers, academicians, information professionals, technologists, policymakers, practitioners, and scholars working across relevant disciplines worldwide.

The mission of JITE is to advance knowledge and informed discussion on the ethical development, governance, and use of information and technology by publishing rigorous interdisciplinary scholarship that supports responsible innovation, human values, accountability, fairness, privacy, transparency, and the responsible use of emerging technologies.

Peer Review

JITE follows a double-anonymous peer-review model. Manuscripts that proceed to external review are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. Full details are available in the journal's Peer Review Policy .

Journal History

Since its establishment in 2026, JITE has aimed to provide an international platform for high-quality interdisciplinary research addressing information ethics, technology ethics, artificial intelligence ethics, data ethics, responsible innovation, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies.

Archiving Policy

JITE is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published scholarly content.

The journal uses the Open Journal Systems platform and intends to maintain appropriate preservation arrangements for published articles, metadata, supplementary materials, and journal issues.

The journal's long-term preservation framework may include recognized preservation services supported by OJS and other scholarly infrastructure providers.

Current status: preservation arrangements are being finalized.

Abstracting & Indexing

The journal will apply for inclusion in appropriate abstracting and indexing services after meeting their respective eligibility criteria.
